Urgent vibes for Ruby please

Ruby has had another relapse. Came home and her stomach was swollen.. rushed her to the vets and she has a haematoma sp? They have put her on streptocare and continue with pain killers. At home now she doesn't want to eat.. hope she picks up soon.

Has anyone got any experience of this that cam offer advice. The op was just under 2 weeks ago so surely if it was an op leak it would have happened before?

How much confidence do you have in the vet? Are you comfortable asking them difficult questions? I'd be asking them exactly what has gone on since the op and exactly what her care should be now. Are you syringe feeding?

Am syringe feeding. The vet said that its not her intestines its a lump under as if she's over exerted herself. She was find last 2 days binkying eating loads and being normal so such a shock to come home tonight to this

Thanks everyone she really doesn't want to move or eat so back to syringe feeding.. I just don't understand what's happened. Her op was 2 weeks ago tomorrow. She was 100% normal last 2 days... No idea

It does seem really strange doesn't it.

Ruby Roo went to the bridge at 5.15 this morning.. I awoke to her having a for and Hubby and I sat with her stroking her as she passed over... I am in bits but thank you all for your vibes and the extra 2 weeks we had her. Sweet dreams my baby girl xXx

I just don't understand Thumper... It's not fair she was fine and happy on Mon... Life isn't fair.. she was a brainy mischievous little bunny and has left a huge hole in our family. I don't think having her in hospital overnight would have made a difference. She had a fit then was gone.

It does seem cruel after she was doing so well following the op

I'd consider having a PM done on such circumstances but I know it's not something everyone can face, or appropriate in all situations.

When I read the update this morning I had the same thought as Sparky but I was waaaay too brain fogged to put it across as well as she did!

I would def give it some thought.

Thanks everyone. We did consider a pm but have decided not too. We think as they said was a risk the sutures wouldn't hold and she'd get peritonitis. She was off on sat a little but thought that was due to her meds being late perhaps this was the beginning but she was pooping okay. Great on sun and Mon even Tues am. Maybe the Binky she did on sun did it don't know... But knowing for sure will only make me blame myself more than I already do

Thanks Thumper its just so hard to deal with considering she can out and was doing so well.

Life is awful and cruel.. i should be grateful for the sadness I have as it means that she had such an effect adn brought such joy to my life...
