I know exactly how you feel - My Daisy has to have dentals every 8 weeks - sometimes we dont even go that long. He eats tons of Hay, he just suffers bless him.
Charlie, my lionhead is not much better. Its so sad that their breeding has left them this way :-(

Thing is - even from a breeder they could have these problems. I rescued Daisy when he was 12 weeks old. He has always had the right diet...its just that he is a Nethie bless him.
Thank goodness these rescue buns have us tho June, lord knows what would happen if we didnt take them.

Poor little mite, I'm glad she is home and eating
Most reputable rescues would pick up on tooth problems and even if they were only discovered after adopting, would at least offer to help with dental costs, I am sure.Littleboots wrote: It sometimes puts me off getting from rescue to be honest.... but i get over it:lol:

I assume it's the molars? It's a shame they're not as 'easy' to remove as incisors...

Oh Hun - I completely see where you are coming from, cos having three poorly buns - my next bun will be a rescue bit I'm gonna be very careful. (Well as careful as you can be) its hard isn't it!
I heard about a procedure where they inject the tooth into the root and the tooth falls out. It might be worth looking into ?

Or there's another one where they drill out the root and the tooth stops growing.

I know how rotten teeth problems. I've lost three buns to jaw abscesses. Might be worth following up on what Cheryl and Katie suggested.
