Re: Vibes for Paddy U/D Home soon hopefully
Paddy is still at the vets He had diarrhoea on Sunday but was fine in himself. I spoke to the emergency vet who agreed with me not feeding him until the evening but then just with bland food. I took him to the vets on Monday morning who could find nothing untoward apart from a slight weight loss. He was prescribed abx in case of a bacterial enteritis. He only had diarrhoea first thing on Monday morning and had small amounts if cooked fish throughout the day. He was absolutely fine at bedtime so I hoped he was on the mend.
Yesterday morning when I got up he was flat out on the floor, not wanting to move. I rushed him over to the vets who got him on a drip as he was dehydrated. Blood tests have not shown anything untoward but will run more tests if there is no improvement today. I went to see him last night, he is not interested in food and not at all himself. The vet is not overly alarmed at the moment and just thinks he is feeling poorly with gastro-enteritis.
I am panicking that he has FIP - this cannot be tested for and is fatal. More vibes please, I cannot bear to lose Paddy.

Re: Vibes for Paddy U/D Home soon hopefully
I am so relieved The vets phoned at half 8 this morning. Paddy is now eating and is a different cat - I could hear him in the background miaowing his displeasure at being incarcerated. They are going to keep him on his drip for most of today but all being well I will be able to collect him at teatime.
I cannot tell you how happy I am. Paddy is a very very special cat to us all. Thank you for your vibes

Re: Vibes for Paddy U/D Home soon hopefully
Thank you for your best wishes - it was a 2 hour round trip to get Paddy back from the vets, the traffic was horrendous when I left work. He was a little doped up when I got him home yesterday but he seems back to normal this morning and has tucked into breakfast.
The vets are still waiting for some results to come back so it it is still a bit of a mystery as to what had upset him. Main thing is we have our beloved Paddy back
