Annabelle's Back U/D been for xray

My little girl seems to be struggling with her back at the moment bless her.  Her hops are over extended and she seems low on her hocks. We know that she has a bad back anyway but with the cold weather coming in it seems like maybe it's playing up.  

I've spoken to John and we have added metacam to her daily cocktail of medicines and it seems to be helping.

I wish people would understand the suffering they cause when they put bunnies into small hutches.  It makes me so sad.

It is sad when they are kept cramped. I have confronted a rabbit breeder about this in the past and didn't get any understanding from them  
Although Annabelle is struggling at least she is happy now that she has a nice life with you!

The poor little love, I could string people up who keep bunnies in confined spaces!!

Humum just got me one of these: Self-heating Pet Mat and I love it (even though she bought it for me), Jack and Layla have one too and likewise love theirs. We only got the small ones, big enough for one bun to stretch out on or two buns hen-style. Annabelle might appreciate one

It is so sad that people keep the buns in such cramped places. Rory's legs were all bent when we got him and they still splay out a bit at times. Luckily, he can hop well and is FINALLY starting to do some binkies with out pushing off the wall. He's climbing now too. Too much too! No remote button is safe!

How is Annabelle today? I hope the metacam has helped.

Annie is doing better as each day goes on. She's still not hopping as I think she should but is improving. Love that gorgeous bun :-)

Annabelle has been to see John today. Her spine was described as " almost dislocated". He thinks it's an old injury which is now raging with arthritis . :-(

So my little girl is on painkillers - an increased dose of Metacam and some Tramadol. Just need to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't get too spaced out.

We also need to modify the shed with a ramp so she can more easily get in and out and I've Just ordered a potting tray with a flat front for her to use as a litter tray.

Oh no! These 2 have had such bad luck.

Bruce is really keen on the oxbow glucosamine supplements.
