Brand new bunny owner
Hi All
To cut a very long story short (and it is long and in parts worthy of a Jeremy Kyle slot) we've taken delivery of a rather lovely bunny this weekend. In short my Aunt and Uncle bought it for their granddaughter who was living with them (not the best decision as she's a very young 4 year old and promptly lost interest) the little girl has now gone back to her parents who have said there is no way they want the poor bunny. Now dont get me wrong my uncle has been looking after her from a health point of view really well keeping her fed and changed and clean but she is stuck down at the bottom of the garden and never really gets any attention. Previous to them owning her (they've had her for about 9 months) she was a much fetted and pampered pet that was allowed in the house.
So as me and my boys are desperate for a pet we offered to take her on and though I cant keep her as a full time house bunny we do intended to let her in as much as possible when we're about.
So anyway thats us and the new addition to our family has been christened Gwen by my 5 year old and is currently installed in a two storey Rabbit shack hutch outside the back door, though she hasnt really ventured out of the sleeping bit yet !
I'm admittedly a complete novice to bunny keeping so I'll be asking lots of questions!
Wello done if you got to the bottom of this rather long post!

Hi and welcome to HH
Gwen looks like a real sweetie and once she has settled I am sure she will become much more active....food based bribery is an excellent starting point
