Charlie and Annie are miserable
With the rain - I'm worried this means Charlie is going to take his temper out in Annie :-(. I guess I need to try and keep him busy while they are confined to barracks.
Charlie refuses to play with toys, they are bored of their tunnels and cardboard hideys.. any recommendations of anything else to keep him occupied?

Sounds like you are gettin the weather we had last week!
The only thing I can think of right now are hay tunnels but they get ruddy expensive
I'm brain dead right now will have a think!

Re: Charlie and Annie are miserable
Have you got an apple tree you could nip a branch off? Destroying one of those keeps all my small furries happy for a while.
I've been foraging various bits and pieces around the garden and then hide them all amongst their hay and around the hutch/ run. It keeps them busy and active for quite a while, and they never miss a bit!
They like the willow balls too and Wilkos sell them cheaper than pet shops.
I'm finding it hard to make life as entertaining when the weather's really vile though. Will be interested to see everyone's ideas.

Vernon loves his fleece blanket. We play for hours
A digging tray? With various content?
Phone books Bertie's favourite especially when stuck in one of the hide outs
Apple branch sounds good. I collect twigs and tie them together.

Re: Charlie and Annie are miserable
Oh dear
Mr Mo is sulking too as he's not allowed in the garden at the moment because of the rain. Oh well, it's getting close to the time where they stop going out for garden moochies now so I guess he'll have to get used to it...
I can't think of any other ideas really. Maybe some grassy mats if they're fans?

When Holly gets bored, it is my sofa that gets it. We have to make sure there is always something on there to stop her LOL!!

Forage is a good plan. I brought a load of blackthorn twigs home the other day and they disappeared quite fast. Create your own hole boxes filed with hay might tempt them as well.

Oh yes forgot to say, she loves a game of Ticklybots." I tickle her little bottie and she runs round and round. We both have great fun.

One of these:
https://www.thehayexperts.co.uk/maze-a-log-treat-challenge.html
Although the thing is flimsy and not really fit for giving food, it would take even the most determined of bunnies a while to chew up each of the log bits. Junior sat chomping on one for 10 mins or so and barely made a dent!

Re: Charlie and Annie are miserable
Thanks guys xxxxx
They have had some pear branches the last couple of days ... And ignored them. I've put another cardboard box in their rib full of hay and mixed in forage and nuggs. That was more of a hit !

Re: Charlie and Annie are miserable
Mine are getting fed up with the miserable weather too. None of mine are all that bothered about toys either. They do like the willow dumbells you can buy but they last all of 5 minutes so are not very cost effective. I find moving things around in BJ and Rosie's shed occupies them for quite a long time, especially the cardboard boxes and hideouts. a different perspective keeps them interested and busy.
