Weight gain?
So T had her first post recovery mouth check up last week, thankfully her little mouth is looking fine. She'll get a check up every couple of months.
Anyway, the vet weight her and she hasn't lost any weight but her weight has remained the same since they originally noticed she'd lost weight (so she was a consistent 2.2kg for ages, then went down to 2kg and she's remained 2kg). Her appetite is great, she's eating loads of hay as well as her pellets and herbs. I've also been giving her a few barley rings a day. I'd hoped the barley rings would be enough extra but it would seem not (also she LOVES them and getting a few more than usual has resulted in almost constant begging for more and shes so cute when she begs it kills me, especially when MJ joins in, and he certainly doesn't need to gain any weight! ). Her little belly is nice and full but her bones are quite prominent. Her behaviour is completely normal so I am satisfied that she's feeling well within herself, I'd just be a little happier if she regained the weight she lost.
I've heard that porridge is good for putting weight on skinny buns, how much should I allow her to have per day? Is there anything better?

Re: Weight gain?
You'd be better off sneaking her a few extra pellets by hand than going down the porridge route.
Has she just moulted as well? I always find that I think Bruce is feeling quite stocky, then he moults and I think he has gone quite thin. Bruce has just finished moulting. I wouldn't worry too much about the weight, she will put back on weight slowly as she adapts to eating a bit more again. 2kg is not a low weight for an average Lionhead - again I am sure that is what both my pair average out at.

I've never tried porridge but I know a few extra pellets does it for daisy when his weight has fallen.
Good luck with sneaking them when MJ isn't looking though !

Re: Weight gain?
She's only just started a moult, I will stick with giving her a few barley rings a day and upping her pellets
This is what I am having to put up with:

I feed my bunns porage in the winter to give them extra warmth just be careful how you prepair it as if its not soaked corectly it will draw all the moisture out of there stomaches
