Time saving tips! Let's share!
In February I go back to work 3 days a week I'm still going to have all evenings to spend with Molly and Junior but mornings are going to be a mare!
Getting myself ready, the baby fed and ready for nursery and Molly and Junior organised is playing on my mind already. I don't much fancy getting up at 5am
So what time saving tips and tricks do you have??
The only ones I can think of at the moment are:
1. Preparing their veg breakfast the night before and putting it in the fridge so I can just take it out and given it to them.
2. Getting their morning litter tray ready the night before too. Pre-loaded with their hay.
I'm assuming it would be ok to do both of these things??
Any suggestions welcome, but I don't suppose there is much more I can do

I do a similar thing in preparing veg, in my house there are also daily medical rounds so I got syringes out ready and when I put charlie and Annie to bed o get their run ready for the next morning (involves scooping up Annie's stray poos and filling their oci with fresh hay )
I think once you have done it a couple of times hun you will get into a swift routine (Molly permitting).

They do get into the routine quite quickly. In the summer when it is less rainy my pair go out in the garden for half an hour and consistently come in when their breakfast gets put down for them. But only half an hour. If you muck with the routine and give them an extra 10mins they decide it must be a day off and refuse to come back in!

Re: Time saving tips! Let's share!
When I was rushed in the morning, I used to lay my clothes out the night before so I could just shower and get into them. I also used to put my cereal in its bowl and cover with a plate.
Hope this helps a little love.

I think your ideas should make it a fairly quick morning re: Molly and Junior. Let's hope they all decide to co-operate with you!

As did this. Unfortunately that would mean I'd have to squeeze a shopping trip in each day because they'd eat the lotRuffin wrote:just leave the pantry door open they will feed therselves that would save time

Re: Time saving tips! Let's share!
Work mornings with kids and animals to sort can be chaotic but you'll find a routine that suits you. I'm a robot in the mornings - I have a well oiled routine and if anything happens to throw me I'm totally lost! But generally it all goes smoothly.
Something that helps me is to set my watch/ clocks slightly fast, so that when you think you're running late, you're actually just about okay!

Its awkward now I cant let the geese out until it comes light and they have to be tucked up before dusk due to foxes so my working days are getting shorter

Re: Time saving tips! Let's share!
What do I do?
I get tired and ratty the night before. Throw a tantrum. Go to bed, and leave all jobs until the following morning.
I then wake up..late as usual. Panic, feed the dogs, try not to get bitten by Jess as I flick a trammie in the back of her throat and wash it down with Metacam. I then feed the bunnies, deligate everything else and go to work looking a mess

Re: Time saving tips! Let's share!
Ha ha, Sophia, that made me laugh. I can recognise a bit of me there - I am always on the last minute.
But, yes, in theory prepare as much as possible the night before. I have only just started preparing the supper bowls of dried herbs at teatime - it is so much easier at bedtime to just grab the bowls and take them round.

See Sophie when you are a parent you just CAN'T afford to leave things till morning because the consequences are too horrible to contemplate!
I agree about having your clothes looked out, lunch made, same for Noah and his pack up for the day. A well stocked nappy bag will really help you. As for buns, when I go on holiday, I make up a tray for every day so my neighbour has less work. You could make up a week's worth at the weekend to save time. Poundsaver have cat litter trays which are really sturdy. I'm sure Molly and Junior will cooperate!
