very angry with janet at oasis

Hi To All My( Encyclopedia lol.) Hopper Family


Thank you so much for all your support. I have tried to keep up with all the happenings in the group & I'm always thinking of you guys.  

I want to tell janet off.after my first article when she said she wouldn't change anything & did, then she said she would edit 2 & 3 & send it back to me, now she's going to edit & print. I told her I can't stand behind any changes she makes with my name on it.

I want to say I guess you want more bunnys in rescue because you sugar coat things & aren't up front.  

I'm so angry I could  spit fire,  l've been sulking as well, ( had a good furry teacher) when I'm done l guess I'll look around for an another source

I'm afraid you have run up against two basic facts where writing and rabbits (any pets in fact) are concerned.
First: if you are writing anything and submitting it to an editor "Theirs is the FINAL word".
Second: It's damned near impossible to get anyone to put into print, in its entirety, the in depth truth about something as emotive as keeping a pet; the public at large just do not want to know the truth about the hard work etc. of keeping a pet, or to have their age old ignorance's pointed out to them. This means sugar coating will always be there to some degree.
Writing anything for the pet world is like walking a mine field.

The only way to write what you want is to write and publish yourself.

Shall we put a bunny curse on her? 
I know Woodwench is right in what she is saying.
If you can't back up her changes to your text it is difficult. What are you gonna do?
Pull out? May e feel you let bunnies, owners and who else down?
Gosh I dont know what to suggest.
But I can give yu the biggest supportive hug in the world. Yes damm right that's what I'm gonna do:hugs:

I know you guys are right " dammit " as my 5yr old great grandson says , it's not fair!!!!. Did I tell you he says he's a whole hand old & his best friend is a hand & a thumb, toooo cute.

She is an editor but not for Oasis, she's a volunteer!!!!

After I'm done sulking I plan to approach other organizations.  A big one is the Toronto Humane Society or better would be to start with the local Humane Society first. Maybe set up my own website, I don't know,  have to think about it I guess

These kind of things are why I don't do a great deal as far as awareness goes. I do what I can through work, and Facebook, but it's exhausting and often thankless when it comes to the public. It really wore me down.

Don't give up just yet though. We're rooting for you! Xxxx

Perhaps your own website is the way to go.
Try seeing if you can establish a good relationship with a rabbit savvy vet and then approach the Humane Society to seek their support.
With a vet and the Humane Society to endorse your work you could set up a website and write the truth. But you would have to keep both parties in the loop at all times.

I am so sorry things are no better sweetheart, You are in my thoughts and I am sending lots of positive vibes.

I have a Rex bunny, they have long ears and very short hair. Adorable.
