We have got a lodger! Unexpected
Just to proof that your life will never be boring if you got pets. Especially with various animals.
Tom cat Sir Lancelot is in hunting mood. And brought yesterday a wildie in and left half off it in the hall for me as a pressie. Needless to say I wasn't pleased or impressed
After cleaning floors and scrubbing rugs as it was messy I went outside with a cuppa and saw he had caught another one.
Last night whilst I was doing the dishes I heard a bunny shriek! Both cats are inside and the response from the warren was imminent. Stumping feet and running.
I found him with a rabbit in his mouth. The poor creature must have been in the house for god knows how long likely to have hidden away somewhere.
I intervene by picking the cat up he dropped the bunny and the fellow run........
Into the boiler room and straight behind it. Unable to get to him and worried that I would scare him even more by chasing after him I decided to get a spare ferry plast cage set up for him to see whether he would go in. Hornestly worried that if he was injured and schocked he may not survive and I would have to get the boiler emptied and the Plummer to disconnect the whole system to get him out.
On top I had to calm three house buns that were going crazy upstairs. D'Layla was scared and didn't come out of the hide for two hours whilst Vernon sprayed the whole warren with wee. Bubbles was aggressive and thumping feet like mad. At 2 in the morning I was tired and needed a rest so chilled out on the sofa.
This morning I went to see what wildie decided to do and he had disappeared. Couldn't find him any where not in the boiler room nor in the hall. Gosh I left the bedroom door open, how daft! So checked there as well. No sign of him.
The a noise on the landing and a movement behind a vase placed in the corner. There he sat all the food that I had scattered around last night was gone and I found traces of wee and poo in the hall, the kitchen, the bathroom. Yes rabbits enter kitchens at least in the south.
Put gloves on and managed to get him into tha cage. Phoned the local wildlife rescue(they know us well) and discussed what best to do. Keep him in for a couple off days to make sure he /she is ok the let free where the cat got it from. Only 2.7 acres of land around me that's gonna be easy than.
Was out all day for work and when I came back earlier checked on him. He seems happy enough. Again eaten all of his food, poo and wee evident. Will phone the rescue in the morning to see whether realising him around here is wise?! Might also take a picture and post it. Don't want to disturb and upset him now.
My three are still behaving funny and I just finished cleaning and disinfecting the floors.
Off to spend some time with them before going to bed.

Pics and update
Spoken to the wildlife rescue this morning. Wildie is doing well and I will release him later this evening when back from work. A few pics taken whilst cleaning out and feeding.
Troubles to download pics. It doesn't give me the paste option.

Re: We have got a lodger! Unexpected
Cats will be cats I'm afraid and luckily our kitty has brought anything home ever, he isn't very good at it which I am pleased about. I am glad the little love is doing well and I agree hun, good work on the rescue.
