Honey Bunny - Fundraiser Hon_zpsz6ybzkcv

Honey Bunny was found dumped in a box in a park local to us. He was found by a dog walker who brought him to the rescue. Upon arrival, we noticed that his front teeth were misaligned and growing into his cheek. We immediately took him to our vet where he had his front teeth removed.

A while later, he found a new home and all was well, however we then received a call from the previous owner who said that he had developed a lump. The previous owner felt unable to keep him, so we took him back into rescue. The lump turned out to be an abscess from where the teeth were removed. We took him back to the vets, where the abscess was removed and our vet did 'marsupial stitching' which is where skin is sewn around the abscess to keep it open and allow it to drain. The abscess has to be kept open and cleaned daily, plus any pus needs to be cleared out. He is also on daily steroidal injections and oral medication.
