Update 22.06
Hi everybun
Sorry for not updating earlier but was soooo busy with the folks.
D'Layla is back home since yesterday as a single bun.
I had to take her out of the warren as both Bubbles amd Vernon did attack her, bubbles bit her in the nose through the wire gage and she is not supposed to be stressed if possible. Vernon has utterly replaced hereafter 36 hours with Bubbles(men!)
She is on panecur and metacam and had steroids and fluids at the vet. We are now waiting for the blood results of which some should come through tommorow . No further fits observed but a diary ready to record if any happen to establish possible patterns. Vet wants to wait with ct scan as my be inconclusive and MRi to risky as she would need a long GA and with a price tag of £1000-1300 not really affordable.
She is eating like crazy pooing fine though had some excess c's last night which I know is a sign of stress with her. Hence I had to disconnect and move the small set up on my own and with 3 buns running between my legs. So all havock last night leaving me with 2 hours of sleep before going to work this morning. Just had a few hours on the sofa.
Thanks for all the thoughts and vibes they are apriciated and welcomed.

Delightful D'Layla what now?
Hi Hoppers,
Just had a phone call from the vet.
All blood results are back and they show nothing.
Blood count fine
Toxo negative
EC negative
Leaving us with three other options
Spinal cord compression or injury possible caused by injury or the dog bite
Inflammatory processes in brain or spine, unlikely though as blood count likely to show up
Brain tumor
Dani the vet that normally sees us is back on Monday and I will call him to discuss what to do next.
They offered me to take her in next week to have a GA and perform a CT and a CFS=sinal tap.
Both investigations can be done on the same day but there is not much of treatment options for either. Hence I'm unsure whether I want to go ahead with this. Yes if the would say we can try a..., b...., c..... Then I would deffo have it done. I just want to do what's best for her and doubt that the stress of travel, GA, hospitalisation is going to do her any good.
I have started a diary of events and although I haven't observed any seizures she has clearly neurological symptoms ie back leg weakness, ? Incontinence and behaviour changes. Those symptoms are not constant and she is still the sweetest bun in the world. Eating well and pooing and weeing too but anywhere in the warren. I have provided two low entrance litter trays for her just in case it is that she can't access the normal one at times. I give her metacam 0.8 twice a day and have got the option to increase if I feel she needs more.
Sorry for the long post. Any opinions and suggestions are welcome as it will help me to make a decision.

Re: D'Layla update 20.01.16
Hi Claudia, sorry to hear all this. I think you shouldn't make any firm decision until you have spoken to your regular vet. When you do get chance to discuss it with him, although it will be really very hard, and it is much easier for me to say than to do, you need to keep in mind what's best for D'Layla and her quality of life.
Given the 3 conditions you have listed above, I think your thoughts should be if any of these conditions are identified what treatment or remedies are available. If it's spinal compression or a brain tumour will the only option be to let her go to rainbow bridge, or can they operate, and if so what are the chances of a complete recovery afterwards, or will they be happy to leave it untreated and help you give palliative care for her.
Given that she's lost her bond with her husbun and is struggling with incontinence would the kindest thing be to care for her the best you can and let her have a happy "however-long-she-has-left" with you and let her slip away when the time is right.
It is the hardest thing when you are confronted with the fact that our beloved pets are not going to have the time with us that we had hoped for. It's also really hard when our precious little fluff balls are not well and we can't fix it.
I know it's hard when trying to decide whether a treatment is too much to pay for, and I know many of us here would say that we would spend whatever it needed to keep our buns happy and healthy, but we do have to be realistic, we have other buns to take care of, we need to keep the roof over our heads for both ourselves and our buns and put food in all our feeding bowls, so please don't feel guilty about taking the cost of treatment into your decision.
I would also recommend that after you have spoken to your vet you don't make a decision straight away, take at least one night to sleep on it.
Lots of hugs and nose rubs, lizzy

Re: D'Layla update 20.01.16
I have just spoken to Dan the vet in Swindon.
We have considered all facts and agreed that we wont do any invasive tests at present.
Plan is to finish the panecur treatment of which there is a fortnight left.then take bloods again and he will do another neurological examination. This is because she seems to respond to the panecur even her EC test was negative.
If she would have seizures again we will discuss and take it from there.
Thank you for the vibes, hugs and well wishes.

Update 06.07
Hi Hoppers,
I haven't been around for a few days.
Wanted to update on D'Laylas condition.
She had another massive seizure last Friday ( literally revolving and flying through the air like a whirlwind, down the stairs) and I was worried she gonna hurt /injure herself. Back to the vet and started on Phenobarbital .
Just earlier I observed some twitching, jerking but not a full fit.
We have decided not to do any investigations at this time if phenobarbital is successful. If it isn't than the options get very few:(
I will keep my promise to take care of her and this includes to take steps if her life quality would be severely impaired. Until then she will just remain as delightful D'Layla.

Update 26.12
Hello everyone,
I have tried to keep up with the site whilst life has been throwing all at me. After my dads death I loosed one of my jobs and today is very sad as my darling girl has been fitting evry3-4 hours.
Despite phenobarbital being increased over the last few weeks and now on levels that wouldn't be safe for lmedium term added by diazepam I'm siting here. Covered in bunny wee and just spoken to the vet. If we can't break the cycle in the next 10-12 hours we have to consider to send her to the bridge. I'm in tears and don't know how to cope with more loss.
Any spare vibes are most welcome.

Re: D'Layla update 20.01.16
Oh Claudia, i am so sorry to read all this.
I have nothing constructive to add, all i can say is i so feel your pain and can only say having lost my Dad, and bunnies, cats and family problems all around the same time i know how you feel.
Just remember, you are stronger than you think, and deep down inside you from somewhere you will find the resources to make the right decision, as hard and impossible as it may seem right now.
if you want to PM i am happy to chat
sending nose bumps, hugs, love and sympathetic vibes
