Any idea what this could be in Molly's ear?? U/D 25/06
OH and I had a good look and he seems to think it's scratches. But I've not seen her scratching excessively. Nails aren't needing cut either.
It caught my eye pretty easily and I didn't see it when they were out this morning.
The other ear is fine. I got a peek at Junior's from a bit of a distance and they look fine.

I am not expert love but it looks as if it maybe some sort of mite. I hope I am wrong and there are people much more knowledgeable than I on here who will be able to tell you. I hope it heals up soon.

Bubbles had the same last year. They will turn into crusts and if removed bleed moderately. Don't take them off! Vet gave a spot on and after one treatment it cleared to never return.

I would also be wondering about mites - although neither of mine have either had ear mites so I could be completely wrong.
Might be worth keeping an eye on it and seeing if she starts scratching it any more/it starts to bother her...

May be mites but could also be insect bites.
Have you had windows open? Even flowers brought in can have bitey bugs in them and if she was bit she would scratch.
Does that area of her ear feel extra warm?
Don't pick it, just keep an eye on it.

Thanks for your thoughts
Her ear still has marks on it but it has dried up and doesn't seem to be bothering her at all!
The window in their room is open, with a mosquito net over it but I know those little critters can get through them.
I'm going to continue observing for now

We are off to the vet tomorrow evening. Although it doesn't seem to be bothering her, I'm sure the marks have moved to a different spot on her ear! Time to get it checked out!
Hay consumption has also dropped
So I'm naturally worried about her teeth!
Will let uz know how we get on.

Good news from the vet! (It's not often that happens
)
No mites or fleas or anything like that, he said her ear is just irritated, so he gave her an anti-inflammatory injection in the hope it'll help it heal.
I also asked him to check her teeth and she let him
He said they look fine
That made my day!

Tushie-pegs all good. That's great. We bun owners worry more about their teeth than we do the neighboroughood pit bulls.
And ears okay too! What a day!
