Jigsaw's poos are nearly always in a string - is this normal or does it mean something?

It means there is fur in the poo. Oxbow papaya tablets are good for preventing this. Smile

It is a bit of a warning sign that the Bun's guts are not coping with the amount of fur they are ingesting.

Daily grooming of the Bun (and any Bun he/she may groom) will minimise how much fur they ingest and feeding a good hay based diet with a variety of veg daily will help good GI function as will plenty of water (Buns tend to drink more from a bowl than a bottle) and plenty of exercise.

In 10 years by doing the above ^^^^^ I have never needed to use anything like Pineapple or Papaya tablets. These contain an enzyme (Bromelain) which is supposed to help the Bun pass the fur without it developing into a clump or furball. If you do opt to use any form of Bromelain (you can buy Bromelain tabs in Health Food Shops) then they should be used in addition to the daily grooming, good diet etc not instead of Smile
