Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
Well I counted 'out of hutch' as 'choses to go outside' as mine don't really have a hutch (a sectioned off area of the house and a catflap to a permanent run outside) and chose 'everyday for a couple of hours'
Hope that's what you meant

Sorry, didn't really explain right. I meant for rabbits with hutches outside in the garden (not house rabbits) how often do people get them out of them.

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
Angel live in a shed and my bonded pair are in a happy hutch, so i'm not sure but i put 'other' as they're not just in a hutch with no room for proper exercise.....

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
Mine are let out of their hutch in the morning about 7.30 or 8.00 am, get their breakfast then they are out of their hutch till bedtime. In fact they are so wary of their hutch cos they are locked up at night that they won't go in it for long during the day! They are herded in when it starts to get dark - now about 6.00 pm, get their veggies and then that is them for the night - unless Wolfie gets down the burrow before I can stop him!

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
sorry! I misunderstood. Mine have the choice 24/7 of being inside or out so I never really 'let' them out as such. We do let them out into the rest of the pondoc about once every couple of days
Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
They go out everyday unless the weather is absolutely appauling. Generally they are out from 9-5 in the winter, longer in summer.
Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
I have selected the option for my two hutch buns who dont have attached runs, everyday for most of the day The other two are in their hutch while I am at work all day but they have an attached run and can choose to go in or out of the hutch when they like x

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
I'm not sure which option to choose, as mine have 24/7 access to be in or out as they choose, with the exception of my foster bun, who I put out in the big run whenever the weather allows it.

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
I couldn't answer either.
Herbie and Hollie have daytime access to their run except in torrential rain and Gabe and Nia are the same. They are all fair weather bunnies though, unless it is dry and preferably sunny they prefer to be indoors
BJ and Rosie have the run of the big shed and go out in their run on dry days. BJ and Rosie and Gabe and Nia are also brought (in turn) into the conservatory to stretch their legs on really rainy days. We can't bring Herbie and Hollie in as Herbie suffers from referred aggression and turns on Hollie if he picks up the scent of the others
I wish they could have free run of the garden but enclosing the garden is not an option

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
I have a hutch similar to this:-

So wondered what people with similar did cos my two can only come out for a few hours a day cos I have a separate run in the garden with a cover but am scared to leave them out incase something happens.

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
Do the doors of the hutch lift off? If so you could probably attach a wooden run to the hutch with access from the lower level of the hutch. Do you have an OH or family member who is handy at DIY.

I chose "other" as my buns are in sheds, & come in/out of their hutches as they please

This time of year I wish they'd stay inside more - I'm sure they must be cold!

I know Fiver gets cold feet, every evening when I get them in he is always sat precariously in the food bowl....as it's ceramic it retains heat well
Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
Bless him! I just don't get my pair - they have three individual "bolt holes" and shelters of one sort or another, plus the main hutch (which they mostly use for eating and pooping, yet every morning I come out and find them sitting in the drizzle?!

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
mine have a make-shift run its 14 X 4ft, and they have a 4 and half foot hutch in there just to sleep in. they're only locked up in there at night, but have the whole garden other than that!
Ill have to get some pictures of their sleeping arrangements, I cant explain it very well

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
Alfie and Twiddles the foster buns have an attached run so choose when they are in the hutch or not, however Dixie and Lupin are out of their hutch when I'm at home for however long it takes before it's too dark to round them up. Lupin loves the rain so I always have problems getting him back in no matter how heavy it is. Don't know what they are going to be like if it snows!

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
Mine has free reange into his run all day but I bring him inside for a hour or so in the evening for some socialisation time, so I picked the one hour one, hope that was right

Re: How often does your rabbit(s) come out of their hutch
Well Lily and Sandy live in the outhouse and have free range time of the yard which they share with Charlie and Brian who are in a hutch with a run attached. So I picked out for a few hours each day. But its longer than that. I just split the time equally between the two.

Mine live in a kennel so they don't really have a hutch
