hey all its been a while since i have been on here and i need some advice as i am relatively new to bunnies as in only started caring for them this year but i have noticed while my first bunny i got rafiki is growing at a rapid speed and putting lots of weight on healthily, unfortunately my second bunny which i got from dixielubun is having a set back in the fact kovu will not put weight on no matter how much i feed him and he eats a hell of alot of veg and hay and is complete rabbit food and he is infact losing weight they are very spoilt bunnies and i love them to bits yet kovu really doesnt look like he is and i have no idea why if anyone can offer any advice it would be much appreciated this is really worrying me thank you wayne xx

If he is losing weight despite a healthy appetite then I would get the Vet to check him over ASAP.
Is he bonded with another Rabbit ? If so could the other Rabbit actually be eating most of the food ? This can happen if one Rabbit is very dominant, in which case you would need to seperate them a few times a day to ensure Kovu get's his fare share.

What are his poos like and is he drinking and weeing a lot ?

Hi hun, I would say if you don't see some improvement a vet trip is essential. Weight loss can be alsorts of things. Vibes for Kovu xxxxx

Have you noticed any change in his drinking or urinating habits?
I would suggest a vets trip for a dental & health check and then, if that throws up nothing obvious, ask about having a full blood profile run to check on his liver & kidney function.

i have been to the vet and he says kovu is perfectly healthy apart from his weight loss and can see nothing wrong with him , So i will make another appointment and get them to run a full blood profile its just so strange as he is eating more food than he normally eats and he is still his curious self which is what is making it so confusing. Although a friend suggested the fact i have been so stressed and worried that my bunny could be picking up on it causing his weight loss is this possible that it could be this i normally dont think like this but is it even possible with kovu being permanantly cuddled up 2 me?? There really doesnt seem to be any changes in the way he behaves or is, apart from he is losing weight although
