It's Johns Gotcha Day!

I have been sitting here and I just realised it has been a year today since we brought Johns home as a surprise for Maddie!!!

We really didn't know what we were letting ourselves in for but we wanted Maddie to have a pet of her own. I remember we made her go upstairs and get something whilst we uncovered him outside and brought his hutch round from the garage to the garden. She couldn't believe she had her own bunny.

I remember we got him out in the house and let him have a little run around....he was SO tiny with these huge ears with the nibble bits out of them but he was so lovely. Maddie loved him straight away and chose to name him Bunny lol.

We didn't really know what to do with him and worried we didn't have enough water or food for him, so we kept checking him constantly. We left him in his hutch for the first of week and even though he was tiny, we felt guilty!

The day after we brought him home we went to France for the day cos we had already booked it as it was hubby's birthday *feeling sad again now Crying or Very sad

* and I recall we worried about him all day even though he was in his hutch! We got back about 11pm at night and let him out to have a run around in the front room.

Hubby used to get taken the mickey out of by his family cos he loved the bunny....Johns misses him I swear cos he always comes over and sits by hubby whenever he is here.

Just cannot believe how quickly that year has gone *sigh* but I love having a bunny and through him I found you lot Smile

Hi yes I know....he has taken over the cheeky bunster. As I was typing that message earlier he was behind the sofa wrecking a load of paper he had pulled out of a bag!

Wouldn't have him any other way though!

So I must ask... how did his name get changed from "Bunny" to "Johns" ?

LOL not sure he being spoilt anymore than usual - although I did buy him a special pink football yesterday for his own use ... to "play" with if you get my drift, the randy bun he is!!! Was fed up of him using Maddie's Hannah Montana ball and so was she!

He ended up being called Johns cos one day I was sorting out a load of paperwork on the floor and he was running around nibbling at everything so I just said "oh what you like johnny nibbles"... so it stuck, then it got shortened to Johns or Johnny Johns or John Johns, Sir John. El Nibble.. he has many nicknames ha ha but Johns sticks. Although if anybody asks Maddie says he used to be called Bunny but is now Johns. He is registered at the vet as Bunny!

We aren't mad here honest lol

Time really does fly by!

Fudge has his second birthday today-if we go by what we were told by the pet shop people however we will make more of a celebration of his his 2nd Gotcha Day in September!
