Feeding regime Empty Feeding regime

Post by Kate7590 Fri Apr 10, 2009 3:05 pm

Hello.
Im just wondering what everyone feeds their bunnies?
I have 5 bunnies and they have Wagg bunny brunch and sometimes a little D&H Pasture mix in the morning along with some Just grass.
In the evenings they have some dry bran and veggies, usually Kale, Carrots, Spring greens, Cabbage, Cucumber, Celery and Peppers and more just grass if they have eaten it all.
Of course they always have hay available and also special herby hay in a hay ball.

What does everyone else feed?

My four get redigrass in the mornings and then veggies in the evening, usually celery, cucumber, pepper, radish, and other things depending on what's been in my greengrocers that week.

Mr. magoo has wagg optimum bunny brunch, and every few days he has 'naturals' dried herbs and grass mixed in with it. He has dandelions a few times a week along with daily veg, usually carrots, celery and lots of herbs such as parsley, basil, mint and coriander. He also has timothy or meadow hay daily and once or twice a week he has some fruit, usually apple or pear.

Ours get Oxbow pellets first thing, followed by a bowl of mixed veg. They always have Timothy and Meadow hay available.
At tea time there is another bowl of mixed veg and for supper they get a small amount of Redigrass with dried herbs and a few flakes of maize and peas. Supper is their fave meal.

Veg wise they get a mixture of greens, romaine lettuce, kale, broccoli, celery, peppers, cherry tomatoes, radish and herbs with a carrot between them twice a week.

They are treated with dried pineapple/papaya or papaya tablets. They have all turned their noses up at fresh fruit!

Super Excel pellets and half a wheatabix for breakfast, hay all day interspersed with the odd dandilion leaf and then for tea normally broccoli carrot & cabbage with a few pellets mixed in. He has choc drops for treats or sometimes a piece of pear or apple but he won't eat apple skin!! Rolling Eyes

I bought him these excel nettle sticks the other day - he wasn't impressed, he ate the papery coating and shredded the nettles bit all round his hutch! Guess it was too healthy for him - bad bun!

SS pellets (1 handful each) for breakfast, hay all the time often with dried herbs mixed in it, for dinner they get loads of veg, a selection of whatever we have that week but usually kale, cabbage, carrot, basil, turnip, um... lots! Then a couple of times a week they get some fruit like apple, strawberry, pear. They recently have had little bits of grapefruit which went down very well. Sometimes a tiny bit of muesli. Raisins. Grapes. I keep meaning to give them some pineapple or pineapple juice! Then some of the Naturals dried yummies as well.
