I have put her out in a hutch for a bit. But she escaped at first and I had a nightmare catching her. I have massively over estimated her age, I think she is about 8 weeks, now that I have a good look at her. Also with her being that young, there is no guarantee that she is a girl, but she does look like one at the minute.

I feel like she is so unhappy with me, but he just needs a few days more eye drops. I am worried about releasing her too. I feel like I am tuck between a rck and a hard place.

Releasing her a female is going to be easier than releasing a male bunny as she will be more easily accepted. 8 weeks is too old to domesticate a wild bunny at, she has done all her socialising around other rabbits and learnt to see humans as a threat...she will never stop viewing you that way. Juno was probably about 5 weeks when I got her and still has a very nervous disposition, she trusts no-one but me. Sad

Yeah I agree, releasing her is the kindest thing to do in this situation as she is far from happy. I just want to get these eyes clear and make sure that she doesn't have myxi. Here are some more pics of her. I only handle her twice a day, when I do her eye drops...

I think once you know what you are dealing with regarding her eyes you will be better placed to make a decision about her future. She is a darling little thing though :luv:.

I really am not convinced this isn't myxi. She doesn't have swollen genitals though and one eye is alot worse than the other.

Gosh you are so strong, i'd be so tempted to keep her, especially as she is a baby and can't really fend for herself.

If you could see how scared she is though, you would think that she ought to be returned to the wild THE CORRECT WAY. If it cannot be done that way, i will keep her, as she would not survive. I am just so worried about her well being.

I completely understand. I rescued a wildie and he was such a timid little thing. But he was paralysed, even though he used to try and crawl all over me. He died a few days later. In my opinion wildies are the most beautiful rabbits.

She has an adorable face, that last photo is just :luv:

Has she been to the vets about myxo? Fingers crossed that it isnt but you're right to hold onto her for a couple more days. Maybe you could ring the RSPCA and ask for advice ref: returning her to the wild?

Sorry this is causing such turmoil hon
