Castration problem
I just got called by the vet, seems like she found only one testicle.
She didn't want to give more anaestatic so didn't look inside his tum.
So now what??
Will the missing testicle still get lower in time, or maybe he just had one?
Any info on this?

Re: Castration problem
Maybe he did just have one.
However, I'd not be happy leaving a Cryptorchid testicle in place, it could become cancerous and you wouldn't know as you couldn't see or feel it. When one of our buns had this, under anaesthetic the vet used a dustbuster to sook it oot and then snipped it away
Ask your vet what she advises, and if she says 'wait and see what happens' find another bunny-savvy vet for a second opinion

Re: Castration problem
Seems like he really only had one.
She (the vet) does know they can retract on anaestesia but it was nowhere to be found.
She told me she opened up a cat or dog once but couldn't find a testicle.
She showed me the side where the testicle was removed, it was still bigger than the other side, that side looked like it had always been empty.
So I guess he has a genetic problem of just bad luck.
They are back together since today and all goes well, they cuddle and groom and he rubs his chin everywhere. Didn't make any attempt to mount her.
O well, just wait and see what the future brings!
