Wud rabbit kill a mouse??
Hi everyone, sorry I havent been online for ages!
Well, bit of an odd sort of question but here what happened today.
Iv moved all the bunnies around into different runs today, I cleaned them all out and then swapped them round, they had all been outside in their runs.
I put my new baby Dillon [5months old] next to Xander. Closed the cages and went to get Harley in. When I came back into the shed I found a puddle of blood! It was in Dillons run on the floor and in his bed and on Xanders neck.
I checked Xander, but its only splashed on his fur, not an actual wound or anything.
I checked Dillon, no mark on him, although he was quite scatty.
There are a few drops of blood on the carpet outside the pens too.
Both cages were shut so I dontsee how anything could of got into them.
I was wondering if Dillon tryed to kill a mouse or something?
Is that possible? There seemed alot of blood for a mouse tho, and certainly if a mouse bled tht much I would of expected to find it in the cage dead.
What does everyone think? Im completely stumped :S

Re: Wud rabbit kill a mouse??
Rabbits are prey animals, not predatory at all so I don't see why he'd kill a mouse - if he had you'd see it lying around somewhere. It'd be more likely for the mouse to harm a bun.
Perhaps Dillon caught a claw and pulled it out?
