I was just wondering what type of litter everyone uses in their bun's litter boxes?

I use the compressed wooden pellets, that you can use for cat litter.

Can definatley reccomend Megazorb, it is great stuff Very Happy. I think quite a few of us use it on here, and it is dead cheap. For a 85 litre sack, its about £6!

Do you use Timothy hay or a different kind?

For the litter trays and the bedding I use ordinary meadow hay, I buy it by the bale from a local farmer, but for eating I give them Timothy Hay, but they do like to munch when they are in their litter tray as well and will eat the meadow hay

Mine are the same as Snowy, I buy a bale from our local outdoor supplies shop which they really like. My neighbour leaves me a bag of papers every week.

Snap Nickie, I have a friend who collects newspapers too! I find The Times is not the right size for my litter trays, tho The Guardian and Independant he also reads are perfect!!!!! Occasionally The Sun pops up too Laughing

I also use farm meadow hay over newspaper in trays and the expensive Timothy hay in racks.

I have tried newspaper with plenty of hay on top but mine used to shread it .so the paper ended up anywhere but the litter box.

I use a very thin layer of wood pellets, with hay on top so they can eat sleep and poop all in one place Laughing

We go for the Megazorb here, with hay over the top!. Timothy hay is in a hayrack which they can easily reach while in the litter tray!!!!
