Hi everyone. I was hoping you guys could help me. I have someone interesed in Bertie my foster bun, however she is looking for advice on bonding. I have done a search of this site but can't find what I am looking for and the bonding section is under construction.

Is there anywhere on this site that has the info so I can link her? Or does anyone have any trused sites they could be so kind to link?

Many thanks,
Anna

Bonding can be very stressful both for bunnies and their owners, we do bonding here and we like to take the slow approach and have a gradual introduction and let them get used to each other in neighbouring pens for a short while, if all is going well then we move on to actually trying them together, they are supervised every step of the way

Some rescues just put them together and let them get on with it Rolling Eyes , personally I think that's an awful way to do it and would never try it like that, I have even heard of them being put in a pet carrier and letting them 'sort it out'

Do you have a rescue near you that does bonding? maybe they could help you out, I am afraid I don't know of any sites that could give you the advice you need, but if I can help in any way please let me know

Yes I have mentioned to the OP that bonding bunnies can be difficult, but she wanted to have a read to see what it entails as I have a female bun waiting to come in. If not then she is going to look at rescues nearer her.

I don't know about trusted sites, or bonding, but I found these

Ah thanks for those links. The OP has decided to look for a rescue to do it for her, so hopefully Bertie will have a companion soon!
