Re: help with Noisette please!
I'm so glad this isn't more serious, and well done Deepa, you've done great
Re: help with Noisette please!
Well done Deepa. Hi Janak, welcome home. Vibes for Noisette. These things always happen at the worst time Janak. Don't worry xxx
Re: help with Noisette please!
Well done Deepa, what a nightmare you must have had! Glad Noisette will be ok and welcome home Janak (when you finally get there!)
Re: help with Noisette please!
Hi guys, am back home now and she's not eating. I think she's in statis, and i have no more bloomin' metacam to give her Have a appointment with that just qualified vet, but I don't want her to see Noisette. I'm taking her to see warwick instead, who seem far more competent.
I am soooo worried, and I have been told she has lost more weight. Just when I thought I left to go Romania that Noisette was picking up, and will be ready for her dental when I get back.
I really do appreciate what Deepa has done though, she's been great!
Vibes appreciated for Noisette though

Re: help with Noisette please!
thanks Kirsty... well, it looks like it is indeed an abcess. I looked at it and i have no idea how the first vet said it was weak muscle, you can clearly feel its an abcess!!! . She's on a stronger pain medication, been given metaclop and buscopan too to get her gut going. Going to start with oral metaclop and pain relief tomorrow, and also critical care, infacol and water.
need an appointment booked on friday, and she might be starting IV penicillin, which I need to give at home daily . Right now, we are only concerned with her not eating, and the statis is the only thing we are worried about and treating. I am just hoping soooo much that the meds she has been given will work and she will pick up by theis evening.
Its just never ending for Noisette, she is constantly ill Thanks for all the support guys x

Re: help with Noisette please!
bless her, i know it seems like its never ending but she is getting the best care and all the love she needs. i'm sure that will be helping her a lot right now. I hope she starts eating again soon - sending her some eating vibes i think you are doing things the right way, start with getting the statis treated and once she's better she will have more strength to fight the abcess.
sending you a big hug

Re: help with Noisette please!
Sending vibes for Noisette and for you J, I'm sorry you're having another run of it Noisette is in very capable and loving arms, I'm sure she'll respond soon. I'll check back in as soon as i get home next week.
Re: help with Noisette please!
still not great... has hardly touched her coriander, and eaten half a banana. Great thing is that she is that she has left quite a few poos in her litter tray, so no obstruction to worry about for now. I'm a bit worried to give her fruit in case she gets bloat, but if it gets her eating, then its a plus.
She is on Temgesic painkiller, which is a narcotic opiate . so she's high as a kite right now, which can't really be helping her GI tract . Syringed her some infacol, water, CC and oral metaclop too. I did it by myself too... which shows how weak she is. Usually she needs wrapping in a towel and pinning down, becuase she thrashes so much, and she is a strong bun!!
I am soooo worried about her and I honestly don't know what more I can do.

Re: help with Noisette please!
she ate all her cabbage overnight, but didn't take anything else. Had a little nibble of banana but thats it. She's moved inside now into my bathroom so I can moniter her better.
She was very difficult this morning at taking the Critical Care, and it was oozing out of her mouth. Her stomach is very gurgly after I gave her metaclop and infacol, so she had lots of tummy rubs.
She is passing urine fine, but only did a couple of poos last night... hopefully I will see some more today. I just hope her pain is being controlled by the Temgesic.
Instead of penicllin, we are going to try Baytril first over the weekend. If there is no response, the penicillin will come in on monday.
I just don't know how to feel now... its like Hermy all over again, and I can't bear to lose another bun to statis I am trying to stay strong but its difficult. I've got hope, in that Noisette is eating a tiny amount. I have sh*t luck with rabbits lately!
