Dewlap question...

I was just wondering about the dewlaps under their chins.
I have noticed alot of dwarf lops have the dewlap, but mostly on the does rather than the bucks. Is there a reason for this?
Is it a breeding thing?
If does are nuetered does this stop the dewlap forming?

I seem to think it is most commonly a girlie thing, (a dewlap is a fat store)and is also less likely to appear in spayed does.

I am sure I have read however that bucks can develop them too, a bit like moobs in men!

Moobs! Yes it is unusual for male buns to have them, however some do. My girls are all spayed but have them. They like to rest their chins on them when they sleep. I like to call them their Elizabethan Collars!

I wonder though... a lot of Moobs are caused by eoastrogen (sp) in drinking water... so is it possible? I don't want Bertie to have Moobs , besides, he's a gay bunny, and no self respecting gaybo would have them
