Should a rabbit's dewlap increase or decrease in size after they have been spayed? I'm sure I read somewhere that they are supposed to get smaller. Daisy's has grown to twice the size since she was spayed. Is this normal? scratch

Dewlaps are made up of fatty tissue and does are prone to weight gain after a spay. If however they are speyed early on then because the dewlap developes out of hormones it can be prevented from appearing altogether.

I would say that it's therefore not uncommon for it to increase post spey if she was already in posession of one BUT do make sure you cant feel any lumps or bumps in the tissue itself.

Treacle has a tiny one and Dumpling has a larger one, they were both spayed at 6 months although Dumpling was a little plump albino
