Shaving... U/D: She's been Braced!

Juno has got to have her leg shaved tonight I'm just waiting for Phil to get back as it's his clippers we will be using and I think it's better he shaves and I hold! Wish us luck, we we're going to do it earlier but had a few bevvies after work....wasn't such a good idea after that.

I demasculate bunny by using a bikini trimmer on him...bought for the sole purpose of trimming his lovely fur.

best of luck sooz, jack spacked out completely when the vet tried to shave her leg during the VHD limp/"broken limb" incident. He gave up in the end as she was so stressed

Juno sounds much more relaxed though

I have a little shaver that I bought from Argos for £12 it is great for shaving buns as it isn't doesn't make alot of noise

Dumpling was really good while her ear was shaved and Meggie was also really good when her bum was shaved although I think she was in shock at the time

We didn't get as far as shaving, whilst I was drying her leg post wash the top of the callous came off in my hands and exposed a mass of pure white tissue/discharge (not puss) underneath where infection has set in . So she had to have the area swabbed and redressed but I didn't dare try and clip around it.

awww Juno - poor little girly. she's in the best hands though hope shes all healed up soon

Juno now has a brace on her legs as well as a splint bless her! This is to try and correct her posture by preventing her legs from 'splaying' outwards.

It basically consists of a padded cork strapped between her front paws and held in place with microporous tape. She seems to be coping well with it but has had to learn to hop again in a tripod fashion.

The infection in her leg is much reducd today

Aww poor Juno. I hope she is OK and continues to cope, it sounds uncomfortable but she's obviously got some spirit in her to adjust so quickly. Glad the infections clearing too.
