....Peter is scared of the ramp in the hutch! No I've been out a few times this morning and although Tibbs was running up and down, Peter just sat in the living quarters. When I placed him on the top of the ramp and put some greens at the bottom to encourage him, he just froze and clung onto the ramp for dear life!

What's the best way to get him past this?

Put the food at the bottom and leave him - when he's hungry he'll go down the ramp. That's what we did with Sooty and Sweep - now they view the ramp as a plaything!

I had this problem with Noo too.

If I put her out in the run she wouldn't go back up the ramp either! Even though she peered up and down she could not bring herself to put a paw onto it.

In the end I placed her halfway up the ramp and she shot up the rest of it herself. Once she had done it once she lost her fear of it and was fine after that.

Timmy is like that, I've had to show him and help him by putting him halfway quite a few times before he finally built up the nerve to do it himself, I think watching missy tear round the run was a good motive for him too, but it did take time.

I've done the same as Sixer, left them stranded on the ramp so that they have to move one way or the other. Peter will get over it within a few days, promise!

As everyone said, he will get used to it. I had the same problem with Sooty and Sweep when we first bought them home. I was convinced they would never get used to the ramp, but they scoot up and down no problem now. We did the same, left them stranded and had their favourite treat waiting for them as a reward!
