Ooo thats a unusual question! scratch

I would guess (and it is just a guess) you would be looking at things with a high liquid content to help flush the liver through?

Yes, that's right but I am sure that Galens Garden do something to aid the liver, trouble is that they have all their herbs and potions listed so as you can search to find what each one does but they haven't got a search facility that you can search when you know the medical condition

Don't know where else to find the information scratch

Apparently it's Milk Thistle that good for the liver, does anyone know if there is a connection with enlarged liver and Panacur?

Found this by searching Enlarged Liver in Rabbits.

It ends by recommending Milk Thistle.

An enlarged liver is not a primary condition. It is usually a symptom of some other, underlying problem such as congestive heart failure or cancer, either one of which could cause fluid to build up in the abdomen. This does not sound good.

Hepatic coccidiosis might cause an enlarged liver (this can be treated with ponazuril), as could a blocked duct, and abscess, or a number of other things. Bloodwork to check his various liver enzymes and other measures of health (electrolytes, kidney markers, blood count) would give the vet more of an idea of what might be going on, and whether it is treatable.

Milk thistle is a good idea. Ask the vet about vitamin B supplements, which are also good support when the liver is in trouble. But the liver might not be the primary problem. More diagnostic tests will be needed to ascertain that.

You can find an experienced rabbit vet here:

Not to my knowledge, Panacur is really quite a safe drug. There probably would be a link between an enlarged liver and EC however.
