My house bunny
Hi all
Well, Rosie never made it outside with the others, we kept her indoors on her own whilst we changed her food over (which I didn't get around to doing) and she has now ended up as a house bun! She lept out of her pen and was hopping around the back room, so I opened up her pen and she now free ranges the back room. She has become litter trained and even comes to me when I call her name! In the evening she sits on the sofa with me and even snuggles up next to me and belly flops. I put a litter tray on the sofa and she wees in that.
It has been a revelation have bunny,Rosie is part rabbit, part cat and part dog! It seems odd having a bunny hopping around the house, but so far she has een soooo good and the only thing she has done is munched on a cheese plant (now removed).
Just wanted to share how amazing she is. It's taken ages to type this because she keeps digging at me and nose butting me for cuddles, she loves cuddles and will sit for ages chattering her teeth (i assume teeth chattering is a good thing?)
Ahhhhh, my little Rosie

Yes I believe teeth purring is a sign of happiness. That is lovely. Maybe she does think she is a cat!

Re: My house bunny
Some buns are just better suited to being house buns, and if they are , then that is the best place for them I'm sure you'll love having Rosie indoors as much as she will live being part of the family in a more connected way than the other bunnies.
The House rabbit soc. has some info, and we produced 2 vids on protecting your home from destruction here. any questions, just ask, it is different to keeping them outside, and there's a few of us who have house buns.
I think it's lovely

Re: My house bunny
Thanks for the info, I agree that not all buns are suited to house living. Vince is a compulsive chewer, Hazel wees everywhere and Faline dives under the sofa and won't come out!
Rosie is very suited to it, just pot luck on the individuality of the bun that you take home with you.
