Pud's Ear /Update 30th June seriously infected.

We took Pud to the Vet's this morning as his left ear keep's getting big lumps of wax in it and he shakes and scratches his ear now and then. The vet looked into his left ear and said it was very bad and he was admitted.
He has had a light GA and had his left ear flushed out and the vet said there was a lot of pus, a culture test is being done and we should find out in 10 days the result. So he is now on'Easotic' ear drops twice a day.
He's back home now and sleeping off the GA.

Oh no! Poor Pud!

Im glad they are looking into it straight away though - at least then he get on the right treatment as soon as.

Oh no, poor pud! Think thats why he collapsed in the heat the other week? These buns are so good at hiding problems arent they! Hugs to u and mike, ur really having a hard time with poorly buns and buns with relationship issues lately x

Yes Felix&Willow I think that is why Pud collapsed now.

Pud has eaten overnight and seem's a bit brighter, keeps shaking his head and Mike has struggled to get the ear drops into his ear this morning Bless him. Hopefully the ear drops will help with the discomfort.

Hopefully he takes to the ear drops a bit better. Silly things, never knowing we're trying to help them.

It's good that the vets are identifying the problem and taking immediate action

He's still eating ok and I let him out in the garden yesterday for a play but I noticed when he was running around he would stop and shake his head. Mike is still struggling with him to get the ear drops in as soon as Mike picks the bottle up Pud moves about as if to say 'Oh no not the dreaded ear drops'

I am so glad he is better love, eating is always a good indication.

Administering to them is always difficult, I know how it is when I have had to treat ear mites in my kitties before now.

Please give him a big hug from me and telol him he is a gorgeous boy, although he probably already knows LOL!!

he seem's a lot quieter and I'm sure he's deaf as he doesn't flinch if I clap my hands behind him but when we first got him he had a bad case of ear mites and I think the damage was done then sadly

He's just a bit quiet than usual but he is easier to get the ear drops in now. We are just waiting for the results of the culture test.
