I couldnt tell you! Mine dont shed a huge amount of hair - i discovered that when i had my friends rabbits staying for a week, they were like wooly mammoths!
...But they do seem to be shedding for most of the year and almost always have moult lines! I think Mid winter is the only time my outdoor buns ARENT moulting!

Stewie's just finished his, lasted about 5 weeks. They tend to have two long ones and two short ones, but some buns only have 2 a year. The two main ones are usually the end of summer and end of winter, the smaller (if they have them) 3 months or so afterwards.

I think they are all different.

Katie has said that Daisy has just finished but thumper hasn't even started yet. Thumper doesn't seem to do it at the same time every year either Smile

That's interesting, I wonder if it's partly to do with coat/breed. Both my rexes have been the same!

Joey has been moulting for a few weeks now - it started in mid summer but that was his first moult to 'adult' fur. He nows seems to be moulting for winter!

I've never been able to figure it out. Maybe it's just thumper that's the exception to the rule. It would be just like her Laughing Laughing Laughing

I think every bunny is different. mine go throughout the year. Alaska finished hers a couple of months ago. Hazel is in a moult now. Ryleigh was a few months before. Romeo is usually about winterish time, Holly any time, Paris is unpredictable and Rudy moulted a few weeks ago.

Bruce has more or less finished his moult but flo is about a month behind him. The is no environmental reasons for this - they live together, sit together, go outside together etc.

Tigger has different fur to Jeeves I think, her coat is quite thin and flat and when brushing I get noticeable single hairs. Jeeves however is a fluffball. His fur comes off in handfuls and it's just a big white mass. Also, he seems to have permanent moult lines. Tigger has recently got one just above her eyes which look like really angry eyebrows so she walks around looking permanently unimpressed Laughing

Mine are both outside and since I've just noticed this on her recently I'd say moult is about now.

Tigger and Jeeves are also just about a year old Smile

I really think it's the ever-changing weather that is causing these heavy and long moults that the buns are having and I think it could be a sign of a bad Winter.
