Moulting...

Hi Guys,

Just wondered if you can help. Does anyone know how long a rabbit usually moults for or does it depend on the breed? Tuffers is a giant lop and he leaves a trail of fur wherever he goes at the mo. Fed up of hoovering! Cheers

Nope - but ours are moulting one after the other. As soon as one has finished the next starts

We have just got to the end of Gabriel's moult, and he is the worst of the lot. Lo and behold, Rosie has now kicked off

Mine are all small and the amount of fur is mind boggling. I dread to think how much fur Tuffers sheds

Seems like mine are moulting all year round I can tell a difference at the change of the seasons, when it starts to get warm/cold their coat changes quite a bit. That's always a much heavier moult and for mine usually lasts a month or two.

Felix is always losing a little bit constantly. I just watched a Big Tit going into his hutch and picking up all the piles of spare fur for its nest. So cute

PMSL I did, but was trying to do two things at once! Honest it wasn't a big brassy blonde!

Would Felix like a big brassy blonde I wonder Maybe he would prefer something with a red breast!
