Vibes for Bracken please

Bracken is a pretty brown and beige boy, aged 12 months. I had to take him to the vets today as i noticed a swelling on his lips and he wasn't eating. Nigel who works for me has been caring for Bracken, but he is now on holiday, and so I am caring for him. I don't know how long Bracken has had this sore mouth, or how long he has not been eating.
I was worried that it might be myxi, although he looked in good health. He is fully vaccinated, but his boosters are due next month.
Vet says it is an injury, not myxi. Looks like a bite or scratch that has gone infected. Bracken lives alone, so it wasnt another rabbit, so I don't know exactly what happened to him.
He's on baytril and has also had a painkiller. The good news is that hes now eating hay and nomming on dandelions.
Can he have some vibes please....

Thaks everyone. Yes Maysie, it's the Bracken that you have met. He's such a sweetie, and I am amazed that no one has adopted him yet (we have had him for a year now)
I took some pictures today, but left my camera in the car.... so I will post the pics tomorrow.

Bracken is gorgeous and I really don't know why he hasn't found a forever home it's so sad

PS... Picture looks horific... I wasn't strangling him - I was just lifting up his head so I could photograph his sore mouth......

It's amazing how bad things can look and how fast they can get better though - Dougal had an eye infection a couple of weeks ago. From being absolutely fine in the morning, by the time Humum got home from work he looked like a prize-fighter. Five days of eye-drops (or as Dougal put it, being dragged out of bed in the morning and having ice thrown in his eye - they were the sort of drops which need to be kept in the fridge) and he was completely back to normal.

the poor little darling, lots and lots of healing vibes are on their way.

The swelling is going down slowly, and he's eating better (still not eating LOTS, but its better than nothing) I think the vibes and the baytril are working!
When he is better, I will be giving him his boosters (due this month) and hopefull will be able to afford to get him neutered. But Im letting him fully recover first.
