PLEASE dont let it be Pasteurella!! <UPDATE2>
Ive been in London since monday, and i came back yesterday,
the buns were being looked after by my parents, and ive noticed today that both the buns have noisy, rattly breathing, Oscar's being noisier.
I noticed a tiny little bit of snot (easiest way of describing it!) in their food bowl, and now Hermione has one runny eye, (milky white)
they are both eating well, (alot actually) pooing and weeing ok, nothing bad in that case, but im sure these are signs for pasteurella.
what else could it be? Im so0o0o0o0o0o0 worrid. I go on holiday next week as well!
they are going to the vets tomorrow

Re: PLEASE dont let it be Pasteurella!! <UPDATE2>
Well it certainly sounds as though there is a bacterial infection present.
I would get the Buns to a Vet ASAP as if they may all need to be on a course of antibiotics to try to prevent the infection going onto their lungs.
Dental problems and allergies can both cause the symptoms you describe, but the fact that all your Buns have become symptomatic at the same time makes infection more likely.

Re: PLEASE dont let it be Pasteurella!! <UPDATE2>
Sometimes these things just happen. You are not irresponsible as you are asking for advice and taking the Buns to the Vet
Good luck and please let us know how they get on.

Could your parents have used different bedding for them or something that they've been allergic to?

nope, the same bedding in their litter trays. They only use their litter tray when they are locked up at night, they are free range buns.
could it have been food?
how do vets test for infection?

I doubt it would be their food.
The Vet will probably have a listen to the Buns heart and lungs, check their temperature, check their teeth and examin their abdomen.
If the Vet thinks the Buns have a Respiratory Tract infection then an antibiotic, probably Baytril, will be prescribed. The Bun with a runny eye may also be prescribed a topical eye treatment such as Tiacil or Fucithalmic.
The Vet may also suggest giving the Buns a probiotic whilst they are on antibiotics. The probiotic prescribed is likley to be either Bio-Lapis, a powder that you put in their water or sprinkle on their food, or Fibreplex, a paste that you administer orally or mix with food.

Re: PLEASE dont let it be Pasteurella!! <UPDATE2>
thanks guys, much appreciated.
the discharge from Hermiones eye has completley gone, theres no more i can see anywhere, and both their breathing is less noisy as before.
Im not talking any risks, and they are still off to the vets!

Re: PLEASE dont let it be Pasteurella!! <UPDATE2>
Hi guys! sorry i didnt update sooner,
the buns have a early stage of infection , most likely pasteurella. She said that these buns are really lucky that I caught it on this early. She said they have upper respitory noise, but their teeth and heart is in 'top health'
She gave them a Baytril injection, and i have to orally give them baytril for the next 7 days. Lets hope they respond to it! I think im going to have to mix the baytril with some pinapple or apple juice, and try to feed it to them like that.
