Vibes Please for Parsley/Ud Tues 9:57am ' Getting Better':-)

Parsley is back at the vet's tomorrow for her glucose level check, she is nibbling bits of herbs but not enough and she has had a dirty bottom nearly every day but today she didn't. I'd like to think she was turning a corner and getting back to normal but I'm going to wait to see what the vet say's tomorrow, she is certainly quieter which is not her and she has lost some weight with not eating.

Mike has just rang and the vet has checked Parsley's teeth and they are perfect, she has felt her tummy and it's normal and she said she is looking a lot better, she has given us some probiotics to put in her water and she did eat better last night and had a clean bottom this morning so some good news.

I asked Mike to find out how much we have spent at the vet's in the 2 years we have been here and the total is..........

£5,080

I guess we would have spent a lot more if we had children.

I'm glad Parsely is doing well, sounding like the perfect patient really!

The vets is expensive isn't it, even if you have insurance you still have to fork out about £100 a year for jabs on two buns and consultation fees (so I can imagine what it's like for you!) They're worth it though not sure where I'd be without my two I really don't.

OMG! That is a whopping vet bill! If your rescue could be qualified as a non-profit might the vets consider their services as a donation to take off their taxes?

We are not a rescue as such we are just a couple who just love bunnies and we take the odd one in here and there when we have space and give them a good home. The vet is very good to us though and does gives us a discount with having so many bunnies. We have taked about becoming a rescue but I would never be able to give them up as I am already a failed fosterer
We have started boarding to help out on the vet bills but it's very quiet at the moment.

Wow, that is a vet bill and a half and I agree with Tuckerbunnies, you should get a discount.

I am so glad Parsley is much better and I think it is wonderful what you are doing. If I had money, I would send you some.

If I lived closer I would bring my two up for a pampering holiday if I were to go away.
