Vibes for Foxglove please - SHE'S HOME PG 4

Just got back from 4 hour round trip taking Foxy to the rabbit specialist ( https://happyhoppers.forumotion.co.uk/the-infirmary-f3/rabbit-specialist-t3068.htm ) and he wanted us to leave her there for x rays and ultra sounds and things tomorrow. Didn't like leaving her there to spend a lonely,scary night. Anyway vibes please for little Foxy. I hope he will find the answers so she can have a long and happy life.

He said he is going to call this morning sometime once he has had a proper look - he wants to look behind her bulging eye where she was pecked by the crows as well as more x rays, ultra sound and have a good look up her nose - and then i guess he will run through the options.

Hope everything turns out OK for her.

John Chitty just rang. Foxglove has got to stay another night. To check she is eating etc and recovered as he said was a painful op. She has a bad infection in 3 of the roots of her incisors where they were removed (there is pulp at the bottom which for some reason has got infected-prob coz you can't get it all out he said and then has restricted blood flow) so has got to have antibiotics and inflammatories for AT LEAST 2 months! I would never have know she had that poor thing. She has also had a premolar removed completely (he has kept it for me!) where it had nothing matching it at the top. he said she is very deformed and her head goes to one side and if they tried to move it straight she'd wake up from the anaesthetic! sounds like the operation from hell! so she is ok and come round but they said she is very nervous. They are calling in the morning. Just want her home.

I am SO relieved and happy that she has come through her operation okay! It sounds like it was a major procedure. Bless her heart, she is a brave little girl!!! :luv: :luv:

she is being syringe fed every 2 hours coz she won't eat.

Wow, that was quite a procedure....what a fantastic little bunny she is. It' no wonder she isn't eating her little mouth must be so sore and swollen, so don't worry more because of that....it's normal.

She should feel better in a couple of days once healing starts and the abx/anti-inflammatories kick in properly.

Hope that she makes a full recovery. She deserves to have some happy time after all the work that she's had done.

What an incredibly brave bunny Foxglove is.
