rosie vibes needed Empty rosie vibes needed

Post by nethie Tue Dec 22, 2009 9:22 pm

Crying or Very sad can rosie have get well soon vibes, we saw a different vet today, we are contiuing treatment for EC but if she doesn't show any signs of improvement the vet thinks it is possible she has a brain tumour , as she noticed something when looked into rosie's eyes, cannot remember what she said though

rosie has a checl up next tuesday, but we came home with baytril and she had steroid injections again
and also vet gave us some science recovery, and loads od syringes incase rosie was to stop eating or drinking over christmas time, also got emergency vet numbers

we are hoping that it is EC rather then a brain tumour, as she did seem to perk up with first steroid injection and i noticed when the other had run out its course she seemed to go backwards again and stumbling, so maybe she didn't have steroids for long enough

Poor Rosie, hope she improves soon.

I'm sure there are others who know better, but EC can cause problems with the eye. I'm not sure of the exact details, but Thumper had EC and he now has a white spot in his eye, and I'm sure the vision on that side is not as good.

thanks, at first i thought she was going to say developing cateracts like mowgli did but she didn't
rosie seems alittle better today soo im hoping the steroids are working and it was just that they didn't keep the injections going long enough

little locksley really wants her to play with him bless him he keeps running up to her, but ive put partition in between them, until she is used to him in my 9her) bedroom, she doesn't mind downstairs as she doesn't consider that her home Laughing

I was going to suggest cataracts if it was a white mark that looked to be on the pupil, but if the vet is seeing someting on the retina or at the back of the eye that may explain her concerns.

Keeping everything crossed for you both. Hugs
