Making Friends With Pippin....

I'm gradually befriending Pippin He headbuts me when I feed him, hops over to me when I go near him and lays down and lets me fuss over him.

I think he's impressed with me. I stay low to the ground whenever I am around him, crawling on my hands and knees to go and 'chat' with him. I crouch next to him and pretend lick my hands and arms like he does and I twitch my nose while he watches me with an uncertain expression on his cute little face. I am an honoury rabbit!

It occured to me today that when I crawl towards him I don't look very rabbit-like. I slink towards him on all fours as slow as possible so as not to startle him and I must look like a prowling cat. No wonder he sometimes bolts away when I get too close. I have 'predator' written all over me!

So today I tried a new approach. Instead of crawling towards him slowly, I hopped! On all fours. It was extremely loud and very awkard (I am not a small lady!) It also hurt quite a bit and I have carpet burns, but rather than bolt away from me, Pippin just looked on with an even more uncertain expression on his face but he stayed where he was. I'm sure Pippin and I are going to firm friends!

Even if I do turn into a rabbit in the process xx

I think you need to invest in a pair of bunny ears and possibly a bunny tail... you know, to get the FULL effect!

I think Pippin Quite possibly didnt hop away because it was a sight worth seeing.

Most Rabbits I have met think they are people so he prob has no idea why you are trying to be a rabbit!

It's amazing what we do for the members of our family isn't it? From eating Calpol so the kids think its nice to eat to watching Star Trek with my husband to hopping like a bunny for Pippin! Be concerned if I start scratching up the walls like our cats!
