Pippin's New Mansion (pic heavy)

Post by Magoo on Tue Apr 13, 2010 9:57 am

Well we've finally finished Pippin's new home after 2 days Very Happy It's hard to show how big it is through pictures but it's 4 and a half ft long, 4 and a half ft wide and 2 and a half ft high. He looks so small in it and has even done binkies inside which he couldn't have done in his old home.

This is before we showed it to Pippin.

Here's Pippin's first steps in his new home. He looks a bit apphrensive but as soon as he walked in he ran around and he looked so excited!

After Pippin had spent his first night in it it looked less neat and more 'comfortable' Laughing

This is his hidey hole that he can use when he wants some quiet time or a cosy nap. It's fully carpeted and blacked out.

I feel so much better now it's all done and am so pleased with it Happy Dance

It's lovely, you and he must be really pleased with it! How many packs of CC cubes did you need to complete it....

I used 3 packs. Do you think it would be big enough to house another bunny with Pippin?

We are really pleased with it. I can just sit and watch him explore and I love it Smile

Plenty big enough to keep another rabbit I would say. The only reason I asked how many packs is that I am not sure how much coverage you can expect from a pack and I am thinking about making Juno a CC cube cage, or using some to extend her dog crate in the future.

Each pack has 16 panels and each panel is 14 inches long/wide so that might give you a rough idea how much it covers. With these you can make it higher and put in levels/platforms or if you have more room, make it larger and no platforms. Our original plan was to do 3 levels but we realised it would mean quite a small running space. This way Pippin has a large running place that he can binky in and jump free plus a platform for his jumping needs and more exercise.
