This morning when I went to put twinkle in her hutch there was the biggest slug I have ever seen! and I mean massive. It was under her food dish. Tbh I dunno how or when its had time to get in there as the hutch is new only came yesterday morning. How can I stop this from happening again as I read buns can catch something from them. I was thinking about putting a layer of salt round the outside of the hutch, what do you recon

Copper tape is a wonderful thing. You can get a self adhesive version that you can stick around the legs of the hutch or around the roof if it has contact with a wall. The slugs get a sort of shock when they touch the copper so will not cross it. Twinkle might lick the salt when out which would be potentially dangerous as would any of the pellet options.

A far cheaper slug detterant is vassaline. Slap it on the hutch legs for about three inches. A scattering of sharp sand on the ground around the hutch will also detter slugs.
Must stop the ******** because they carry the killer lung worm. Do you put greens in the hutches? My guess is that's what they are after.

I wouldnt use pellets or salt hun. Both are really dangerous for buns.

I wouldnt stop the buns greens as some buns like to graze. Perhaps the vaseline on the hutch legs though as this sounds like a great idea.
