Felix Empty Felix

Just let let you all know, I had Felix PTS last night.

When I got home, I found a really sick bunny who had lost an incredible amount of weight. My OH had done his best and thought that he was eating. Felix had been eating, but not enough and over the week, just faded away. I tried syringing him when I got back and got some food down him, but the next morning, he wouldn't even swallow.

So now I am rabbit-less and feel really lost. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Oh Nickie Sad I saw your post title and I just had a feeling it was going to be bad news, I actually have tears here Sad

From the story that you told me of Felix's arrival - he was a rabbit who knew where he wanted to be, and I am glad he never became the SSPCA bunny, he was meant to stay with you, i just wish he could have stayed longer.

Nickie... so, so sorry. Know just how you feel. It's the pits.

When I lose a pet I find a nice A4 size, hard back note book and start a "THINGS TO REMEMBER ABOUT...." book. Just list all those cute/funny/loving things they did and record all the big and small things you remember happening. Put in photos and such (in Claweds book I have nail trimmings, tufts of fur, strands of hay.... even vet bills/till reciepts.

What a lovely idea. Of course we will never forget them but over time, memories do fade.
