Re: Off to the vet at 6 :( U/D now selective eating
Have you tried Thumper with different hays? as it's surprising how bunnies will not eat one but will eat another type of hay. We use Western Timothy hay a lot and we have had the odd bunny board with us that hasn't been a great hay eater but when we tried them on WTH they loved it, it's not cheap but it's brilliant green hay

Goodness she is putting you through the ringer.
Can you try some fresh leaves to bulk her up - apple leaves, dandelions, that kind of thing?

Perhaps you are right. She clearly loves the excel food, her eyes light up when you go to feed her it. It's just so frustrating! I can't get her on an even keel, I've tried everything!cheryl'n'bruce'flo wrote:She hadn't been on the excel long had she? Perhaps you should leave the food as it is for a while then she can suit herself. Is there any issues apart from the soft poos - has she been bloating or anything? I guess I am asking whether the problem is you stressing and that her stomach will settle! I am the worst when it comes the panicking at the first sign of change.
I've not noticed any bloating or anything but have no experience with it at all. I take it it's not something I could miss? She's certainly not out of character at all.
Maybe she's just going to have these sticky poos now. Maybe we just have to deal with it.
There's no sense in feeding her the 'old' food, she clearly doesn't want to eat it.
Back to the excel mature it is then!

I've tried her with countless different hays, from a load of different places. I even alternate bags to try and encourage her to eat it - but no. Not the least bit interestedTuckerbunnies wrote:Have you tried Thumper with different hays? as it's surprising how bunnies will not eat one but will eat another type of hay. I don't have first clue where I could get leaves from, I can't tell one kind of tree from another eitherKatieb wrote:Goodness she is putting you through the ringer.

There are plenty of dandelions around but she's never eaten them either. I swear, I'm sure she's a denial about being a bunny
I will try again though
Ps guys, I realise multi quote would have been the simplest way to send my last few replies but I can't get it to work on my phone!
Oh, and no, I wasn't really going to poke her in the eye

Have you got any local allotments? I bet it you went down there and asked that a)someone will have apple trees and b) they would help you out with some prunings once the harvest is done.

We don't have allotments around here, everyone has their own gardens so there's no need for allotments
I'll have to ask around see if anyone can think of anywhere, I don't know the first thing about what people here grow in their gardens etc. I'll also need to see if I can find a list of what wild trees etc she can have

I've got apple and pear trees and will send you some leaves and twigs if you PM me your address. We aren't too far away so they would be there quickly.

Not a problem. She's such a babe and we are all slaves to them at the end of the day!

Re: Off to the vet at 6 :( U/D now selective eating
Thumper has been full of cheeky beans today! I think she has covered every square inch of the livingroom and even took a dander into the kitchen, which she rarely does. She's never liked kitchens for some reason
Maybe it's he slidy floor surface.
There were a few bits of food left from her breakfast, but only 3 or 4. So far no soft poos today!
Although, I'm trying not to get too excited about that. We'll need to get to a few days with no soft poos before I'm happy!
Dotdot, she def doesn't think she's a rabbit I have some pics to back this up, which I hope to put up in the next few days

Got your leaves and twigs parcelled up for posting tomorrow. Glad she is feeling a bit better. She is a cheeky madam.

She's a funny monkey for sure! Likes to keep you on your toes.
I've got my fingers crossed for no soft poos and good eating over the next few days.
Looking forward to seeing those photos
