Anyone read this. I found it in the stock piles in our charity shop the other day. It is an old copy but when my baby finally learns how to sleep I intend to read it! Could be 13 years yet

Re: The Private Life of Rabbits
I've just finished it! Anne lent me it for some research. It's the first book that explored rabbit behaviour, and was the book that Addams used to write Watership Down - the two authors became best mates, and went on a motorcycle trip all around the Gulf! They both live not far from here.
I have to say though, it's quite a shocking book, but very interesting. He creates a false warren in his garden, with a glass wall, and studies the buns. He puts them into stressful situations to see how the react etc, and it's not always a comfortable read, but this is how we know what we know about territorial and bonding behaviours etc.
Is little Osacr still giving you no peace? My gran used to give me brandy - dipped on her finger - It's all her fault that I'm still drinking it years later

Nope he still likes to be permanently awake and wanting me to entertain. So I can't leave him to play for more than a few minutes as then he cries and wants you to sit with him. But he gets bored so we go out a lot and do lots of activities to try and tire him out. Don't get me wrong he is a joy, but a tiring one that is not giving me a chance to hang with my Hoppers I am really missing you all. I think the problem is that his head wants to do so much more than his body is able to do and he is desperately trying to crawl and getting no where so he gets frustrated. I think once he is mobile he will be a lot happier! He is also not impressed with tho food lark! lol! He blimmin well loves the cats and rabbits though. It is such a magical thing to watch. He can be screaming and the minute he sees one of them, he is all smiles!
This book does look as though it could be stressful to read at times but I am fascinated. I watched Easter for about 20 minutes last night, in the garden, when she thought no one was around. She is so different to the domestics. She is permanently on alert and is incredible at being a living statue. She is so cute.
