I knew it was too good to be true!
Over the weekend, Florence was a little princess. Very well behaved, even when she got her claws clipped. I thought maybe she had started to calm down.
Then came last night...I had her in her play pen while I was reading. Suddenly I realised that she wasn't there To give her some credit she did come out from the back of the sofa when I called her and let me pick her up, but she shouldn't have been there in the first place
Hubby changed her play pen so she could still jump up and down from the sofa to see us, which she thought was great fun. Hubby then had some bacon pringles in a bowl on the sofa (you know where this is going don't you!). Florence jumped up and grabbed one straight from the bowl. I was too shocked to do anything, she had a right nerve. Normally when she steals food she waits until we aren't watching, but the bowl was between us and she done it in full view She tried to get more out too!
This morning when I fed her I left the top door of her house open, and she tried to jump out While I was skating hubby had her in the play pen but she kept trying to escape so he locked her up again.
She certainly has had a very norty few hours. I'm hoping that's it for nortiness for this week, but I have a feeling it won't be

Re: I knew it was too good to be true!
Sounds like shes keeping you all on your toes, and has you wrapped right around her little finger
Im off sick today and the buns have been running rings around me all morning! Ive been trying to block off down the side of my wardrobe as its where i keep my plastic bags and cardboard boxes/tubes for the gerbils. Skye likes to go in there and dig all the bags out! No matter what i do, she finds a way in!
Dolly monster managed to climb on the top of the pen roof!!! Shes shredded my muslin drapes in order to get up there
And Marleys just trying his luck! He refused to go back into his pen as i was a cruel mummy and didnt let him out last night. He kept hiding in his toys and peeking out to see if i was watching. Whenever i tried to round him up he would dart past me binkying!
What has got into everyones buns lately!!?

There's definitely something isn't there! I don't envy you having three to gang up on you!!
The funny thing was, before she stole the pringle, hubby said to her "would you like a friend", and she then ruined the conversation by helping herself to a bacon crisp!

She may be a good girl if she had a friend

Re: I knew it was too good to be true!
I'm still tying it all up in my head. Part of my issue is I'm not technically supposed to have her in my house, so when the agents come to do an inspection (like next week) she has to go to my neighbours overnight. If I've got two to take its a bit more tricky!! I'd have to rearrange the living room too. If it was just me there I would definitely get her a friend, or at least take her to bunny dating to see what she thought, but sadly its not just my decision.
If Florence was unhappy I could argue the case, and probably win, but she isn't unhappy so I don't want to risk pushing it too much. Hubby knows I want a friend for her, and knows I'm in love with a neutered boy on a rescue site, really its his call now. But where things are really touch and go between us I don't like to mention it too often.
And there's the risk she would teach a good bunny bad habits!!!!!

Re: I knew it was too good to be true!
Haha she's getting brave... or stupid!
It must be this cold weather, it sends my pair giddy. We had -4/-5 last night and I went in this morning expecting to see icicles hanging from their noses except they were binkying around having a whale of a time.
I looked in their lovely warm bed which I lined with extra cardboard from a box last night, and this morning there is a monstrous hole in it and bits of cardboard throughout the hay in their bed. They're adamant that it wasn't them though.
The last time it was this cold last week mum went out in the morning to see them and Tigger apparently decided to play dead. Mum was calling her and calling her for a good five minutes and Tigger did not respond. Not a sound. Mum daren't look in the bed because she feared the worst, then Tigger flew out of the little house on the floor at mum and scared the life out of her. I think she had been sat in there the whole time judging when to pounce out at her to get the best effect.

Re: I knew it was too good to be true!
My Mr Snuffles, at the tender age of three months, jumped up on the seat next to me and pinched a chip from my plate. What is more he wouldn't let go. Luckily he only ate half of it before I managed to get it from him but he was lucky it didn't have any adverse affects.

Perhaps Flo wants to unseat Sparky for the award? Good natured like, of course. Probably comparing notes and taking suggestions from anybun.
