You know that ad with the dog who has made a vid to show prospective owners, well I think Dave had seen that and got some ideas.

I think you're on to something there!
Who was the lucky girlfriend of Dave?

Re: Litter mates U/D Random!
Thanks Cheryl, I thought they would stand a good chance of going back together.
I have no idea what mum is like but I am itching to see her. When we were there it was all very cloak and dagger Her and the babies were hidden away. I only knew they were there because OH read it on a bit of paper that was pinned too high up for me to see She's not on the website anyway, because all the ones on the website were there when we were there.
Even OH thought it was amusing that they are Dave's babies. He comes across as so daft and innocent that you wouldn't think he would know where to put it
I'm hoping she's not huge Dave is a LOT bigger in reality that he looks on the website. I was really surprised when I saw him!
Link, for those who haven't seen Dave and would like to:
http://www.scottishspca.org/rehoming/animal/7512_dave
Sparky, no plans to pick them up! Mum and the babies need to stay together for now as she is still feeding them.
I don't know what to do!!! Dave and Mum or 2 babies???
(Or any at all? )

Re: Litter mates U/D Random!
Dave, Mum and a baby
Dave seems to have left a lasting impression on you, and because of that I would be inclined to say Dave and Mum. The downside would be you'd have to neuter/spay and then do the bonding at home, whereas if you got two same sex babies there wouldn't be that worry.
I haven't helped have I!!!

Hmmmm..... I was maybe being a little naive in hoping that Dave and mum would go back together without too much of a struggle.icedancer wrote:Dave, Mum and a baby

Maybe the babies would be a better option for us but I just worry that Dave and mum might be overlooked in favour of the babies and stay at the centre for ages.
Wish I could make my blinking mind up
Maybe I should just leave it to fate and see what happens in the 3 weeks until the babies are ready for rehoming. Dave might even be gone by then.

Re: Litter mates U/D Random!
I've just remembered that they want Dave to be an outside bun!!!
Why oh why does everything have to be so complicated??
Although, I think the biggest complication is me. I just can't make my mind up whether I should take the plunge or not.
I wish I was an easy ozie kind of person who could just do these things without over analysing everything
I think there's a bit of self preservation going on here. I don't know if I can put myself through it again. Although I wouldn't trade the time I had with Thumper for anything, her dying has left my heart broken. I cleaned her cage out on Saturday and I feel like I'm back to square one trying to deal with her loss. I was a complete mess over the weekend and yesterday.
I want my Bubba back, but I can't have her
Can someone please send me a gun so I can put myself out of my misery

Re: Litter mates U/D Random!
I'll get you a water pistol, then it can double up as a training aid for those new bunnies
I'm still wondering if I've done the right thing in getting Dougal. I think some people just always over analyse things, I'm the same. I think even if you brought two bunnies home in six months time you'd still be feeling that way.
I think youre just going to have to take the plunge. Or write off the idea totally

Re: Litter mates U/D Random!
Dave's fan club
If he did come home to live with me, as wrong as you may think this is, his name wouldn't be Dave for long!!! My brother had a friend called Dave and he weirded me out
Carla, that's the thing tho. I can't decide whether to take the plunge or write the idea off altogether
But I agree, I think I'd feel the same whether I did it now or in 6 months time :-{
I just don't know if I want a bun if it's not Thumper

Re: Litter mates U/D Random!
Of course its Thumper that you want, but Dave and his missus could be a very good next best thing
Will he be renamed Rodney?! I think whoever called him Dave needs a medal, its a great name for a bunny!

^^
I have to say that I'd be gutted if Dave didn't become a Hopper - we seem to have got to know this little man, and I believe have a star in the making - and just look at him
No pressure...

Re: Litter mates U/D Random!
Whilst not wanting to make you feel pushed into anything - I do think you need to acknowledge you want him in your life. It is not the same thing as having him. The thing is if you try and resist the idea that you want him your grief will be magnified if you go back and he isn't there. You could always offer to sponsor him at the centre for a while?

Dave's wife? Well, like I said, Dave's really Rodney the Plonker so his wife has to be Cassandra! Stylish enough?

Re: Litter mates U/D Random!
How random.
I just sent OH a picture of a bunny charm I got and be phones me and says "I was thinking, if you want Dave, you better phone up and reserve him in case someone else does"
I explained to him that I can't just take Dave, he needs a friend. He said he knows that.
This is obviously in response to my floods of tears on Sunday night. I told him we will need to speak about it properly tonight.
My main concern with this is that it didn't fill me with excitement, like I guess it should.
I really don't know wtf I'm doing any more

I think your OH is right, I think maybe you need to take the plunge. I've got all the emotions going thinking about picking Dougal up, and I was the same when I got Florence.
Maybe you should just go for it
