Charlie has diarrhoea - ud I think we have to go to vets Tom
Hi hoppers
He is bright and eating but I don't want to feed him the wrong things. What should he be eating and what should we avoid?

I was going to link to this list. I would be certainly reduce the amount of green stuff but keep some from the list in as they are good for the digestive system and bear in mind that Charlie will have lost fluid with the Diahrea and so will need to replace some. So plant material can be really useful with that. But avoid veg and fruit.

I hope he is better love, when any of my babies have had a bad tummy in the past, I restricted them to hay for a day or two. Please let us know how you get on.

Myrtle had diarrhoea this week too - we stopped veg/fruit for two days and just gave pellets and encouraged her to eat lots of hay - also with a big bowl of water and a few fresh mint leaves
She is back to normal now!

Oh dear what is happening so many bunnies with diarreah
We stop the greens and just give plenty of hay and give them some rehydration treatment to restore the natural salt and fluid balance. Boot's own make or Dioralyte
Vibes for Charlie hope he is better soon xxxxxxxxxxx

Goodness me not another one Just this morning I was wondering what Charlie and Annie had been up to. Getting up to naughties I understand Charlie.
I'm glad his poo's have formed up. This is something that I do not want to wish on anyone

I'd say lots and lots of hay. Also I found Pro-C was good for bunnies with a runny bum

Re: Charlie has diarrhoea - ud I think we have to go to vets Tom
He did really well yesterday but today he isn't really eating very much. He doesn't seem his normal self either.
I'm worried about him now. Should I continue with fibreplex over night - I'm going to take him to the vet in the morning I think. Poor Charlie B.
Please can we have some vibes?

Re: Charlie has diarrhoea - ud I think we have to go to vets Tom
Sending loads of vibes.
I have no advice. Has the diarrhoea completely stopped now? I suppose it would leave him feeling pretty flat but I'd definitely be doing a vet trip to make sure ... but then I think they have a special seat for me in the waiting room, cause I never take any chances!

He is doing some poo's that are wet but not runny if you know what I mean. He's just not right bless him. There isn't very much of anything that's the problem I think.

Pro-C is also good as buns seem to like the taste and drink more when it is in the water.
Hope Charlie is ok, poor little guy

Re: Charlie has diarrhoea - ud I think we have to go to vets Tom
I really am wondering what is going on and why this is happening Enya started with diarreah and she had never been ill before and I am seeing it on other forums rabbits suffering with it to.
I think you are best going back to the vet's with Charlie , we took Enya twice to an emergency vet in 2 days as we were so worried.
Topping up the vibes for Charlie and hoping he will be ok xxxx
hugs as I know how worrying it is
