Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
I went in the shed for tea and I spotted some dark puddles on the floor. I wiped them up and they were quite brown.
I've brought them in the house to check but they're both eating fine. I think it may be Jeeves.

Have they eaten anything that could tint their urine?

Not recently. There just seems to be leaking on the floor.

Blood in pee tends to be red not brown. Have you fed them anything different or opened a new packet of something?

Re: Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
Well it's not blood. He had an incredibly dirty brown bottom. No bits just liquid.
Me and mum have cleaned up the best we can. He was eating prior to this.
I'm not sure what's next?

If it is diarrhoea then vets is the best bet. Also extra fluids are a good plan. Has he been eating properly. I am wondering if this is a dental problem where he has not been eating his hard food and hay but still felt able to eat his greens? How does his tummy feel? Does he feel hot or cold?

Re: Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
He's eating his hay at the moment and before this I literally just gave him his tea which was some herbs and half a spring green and a bit of carrot. He had pellets this morning too.
His tummy feels sort of warm but deffo not boiling.

Re: Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
Yeah he did.
I'm in such a flap so mum rang the emergency vets for me.
They said to feed him fresh grass and hay and not to hassle him with water if he won't drink (which i found strange) but I do have a syringe.
I don't know if to give him fresh grass or not since he hasn't had it for quite a while.
He's acting fine and eating lots of hay at the moment. It's just annoying that he had his tea before I realised the little puddles.
Would love some vibes if there's any going? Not had to deal with this before.

Re: Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
Thank you!
Do you think I should try and syringe feed water and give him some grass despite him not having any for a couple of months?
I also have pro c. Not sure if to put this in the water?

Re: Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
I would say yes to water and pro-c. But the grass seems odd to me.

Re: Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
pro-c is a pro biotic which will help loads towards a tummy upset so i would read and measure the amounts and give it for sure as far as syringing him some water i'm not sure but would think so as they must have fluids.
fresh grass from the garden is ok and has some fluids in it too
hope maysie posts here as she would know for sure..
vibes all the way

I second Cheryl. We've all got our fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
Has it stopped or is it still coming out of him?
Do you have Pro-C?
Edit, crossed posts. The grass seems odd to me too. Hay by all means, but grass

Re: Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
I have The pro c here and it says 1 scoop per 200ml of water (I've not used this before!) is that what you guys put in? I just want to make sure there isn't some other measurement for rabbits which you all find better.
Cold or lukewarm water?
If I have to syringe him how much pro c should I mix?
Sorry I'm going to be all questions!

Do the 200mls. You can give it via a bowl or bottle as well as syringing.

I wouldn't worry too much then - just keep a close eye. But put pro-c in the water.

Pro-C is great stuff. They seem to drink more with it in the water too.
I hope the gorgeous Jeeves is ok, sending lots of vibes over for him

hiya hun
Grass seems a very odd option to me. Id have said, syringe some lukewarm water and let him carry on with the hay.
Glad he seems to be better now though hun. Sending him some vibes x

Re: Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
Thanks so much everyone, especially Cheryl for being here when I was in a complete state.
It's certainly strange, I've just had him do another 10 solid poops and he even had the cheek to do a mini binky I can't believe how fast hopper vibes work!
I thought grass was a strange one too as I know that can set tummies off. I also found it odd that he said not to worry too much if he won't drink water.
I've kept him with the hay which he is munching brilliantly and will be putting pro-c in shortly.
Now I just need to figure out how quick to push the syringe.

So pleased to hear his poos have firmed up
Pro-C is brilliant stuff. Thumper used to have an upset tummy at least once or twice a week and it completely stopped when I put her on Pro-C. I can't recommend it highly enough

Re: Jeeves- diarrhoea? U/D pg 5
Well there are a big number of solid poo's this morning and no accidents
He was all excited about his pellets for breakfast but he hasn't got any (despite the evil looks he gave me!)
Tigger hasn't had any either so it'll do her some good I'm sure. Just lots of hay.
How long should I stick with the just hay diet? They usually have herbs and veg for tea.

I just saw this! I hope sweet Jeeves is doing better. It's
so scary when we find something that is off and cannot know it's
exact cause.
Please get better precious! Keep making solid poos for your
mommy. A nose touch for the dashing Jeeves and a
