Runny eyes
WithOut Annabelle here to clean them Charlie's eyes are sticky and I'm worried them getting sore. How should I clean them. Salt water doesn't work on the sticky fur really. Any ideas?

Re: Runny eyes
Have you tried using just warm water and what we call a cotton ball. (I think you may call it cotton wool there.) Just get the cotton really wet and let it penetrate as long s a wiggly bunny will allow(with Thumper it's like maybe a second!) and gently wipe a few times. It works better than salt water since what you are wiping away is very salty already. In other words it thins it out better.
Hope it works well for the little guy.

Re: Runny eyes
I agree with Gentl.
Also, how about using an unscented baby wipe? I swear by them when Willow has a messy bum. I've never used it around her eyes, but I can't see it would do any harm.

Re: Runny eyes
I wouldn't use baby wipes around the eye - they sting a bit when I have used them to remove my make up. But I have used warm water, boiled then cooled a bit, on eyes of buns and pigs. Bruces get a bit crusty occasionally and often I just pick them worst bits off. Cotton buds are good as if you twist them a bit then they work a bit like a mildly abrasive tongue.

I used to wipe Mr Snuffles' face for him when he was having difficulty himself. I just used cotton wooland warm water.

Re: Runny eyes
I'd go for the warm cotton wool too, baby wipes aren't to be used near a babies eyes so I wouldn't use them for animal eyes either. If a cotton wool ball isn't cutting the mustard, how about a face cloth?

Re: Runny eyes
Boiled water let it cool and some cotton wool and bathe the eye or you can use cold tea, but don't use the same cotton wool on both eyes.

Cold tea? Never heard that one, what's the positives of using it? Does it make it better than normal water?
