Sorry hun that was supposed to be "blanket."

Well when I got up this morning Charlie has scaled the pen and was over Annie's side pinching her hay. The re hadn't been any fighting so far ads I could tell. So I left them together today and came home twice to check on them. Things are strained between them but there is some grooming and Annie's wounds are healing nicely.

I'm keeping a close eye and hoping I can get to the bottom of why this is happening?

The grooming is a good sign. The fact that he scaled his cage to get to that side is a good sign too. But then of course we all know the old adage: the hay is always tastier on the other side!

I suspect he has been scared by her condition Katie. I think it is common for wildies to chase ill buns out of the warren. It is probably just instinct.

I am thinking that too Katie, Gabe reacted to Noo being poorly. I wonder too if it could be possible that the new meds have caused her urine to smell differently, or even her herself and he has reacted to that

I think you have something here! They go so much on smell! Especially if their vision might not be what it was. Make sure that you cross their scents a bit too until Charlie gets used to her new scent.

They were very much in love again this morning. I even saw Charlie grooming her - which hardly ever happens. She was loving it bless her.

So we have been to the vets this morning and that was an hour car journey each way so hopefully that too will have helped things.

Annie's wounds look good as new which is a relief and hopefully now that we will have charlie on some more pain relief he will be in a much better mood!

Glad all is OK Katie hun. I think we tend to forget just how much a bun relies on his nose. We cant imagine having noses that sensitive but for them it is their whole existence.
